Sorry I've been away.

It has been a while since I posted anything. My day job has me quite busy lately. But over the holiday weekend I managed to sneak this one in. It's larger than the other ones. This is 8" x 10" on canvas. I kept the foreground pretty loose but I'm not sure if that's the right approach. It might be to disconnected from the focal point. What do you think?

yeah. He's back. You're as bad as Harry.
(I should talk...)

You know I love the colors here. Not sure if the foreground needs more detail. Let's all just sit here with this for awhile and see how we feel in a few days.
I would love to see this larger. Huge. You know, sofa-size! (did I say that? slap me)

Ah, it's good to ol' friends coming back. Here's the deal... We draw names at work and exchange gifts. Because we're a creative department, making your gift is encouraged. So, I need to get the paint on in the next day or so or it won't be dry in time.

So I think I am going to add some more detail to the forgraound but applied in the same loose way.

Another post will be coming soon.

And I am as bad as Harry aren't I? So sad. :-(

I like the looseness. I think it makes the focal point more...well someone help me?

Sorry to be late in commenting, Chuckles. I wouldn't change this, but next time, I'd be looser in the background--you know, the brilliant, Sargentesque brushstroke that you do when you're in the flow. That way the foreground and background would relate to each other more. Of course, I'd be thrilled to get this, as is, for a gift from you and I'm sure your coworker will be, too!
