Snoop Dog

A friend I work with has this great dog named Snoop. He's a bit old and crabby, but has a face you have to love. We do a secret Santa at work every Christmas where we draw names and give a present we are encouraged to make. This year I got Snoop's owner. I thought a sketch of his faithful hound would make a nice present. I framed it. He tells me it is in a place of honor in the family room.

Hi Chuck! I was shocked and pleased when I saw via Bloglines that your blog was updated! I love this sketch and, of course, it makes me want more, more, more. Your linework is heartbreakingly beautiful. And then there are your gorgeous paintings! When? Where? Why not? No pressure, of course ;D.

Oh, you know the story by now Laura. Too much to do, too little time. But your words are encouraging. I strive to find the balance between work and life to do what I love. Sometimes I'm there, and other times ( like the last six months) it is harder to achieve.

I still love your work man! I was just teasing you about it. No hard feelings.

No worries. You were right! I SHOULD call this bog, "NOT PAINTING".

Nice. And as a strange aside, I've been told I'm the white snoop dogg.

You've captured the dogness of the dog so beautifully and naturally! Now I'm inspired.
