Hey, I found your blog on accident but have really enjoyed your art work - very nice - your son is talented too! I also recently ordered a Moleskine sketchbook which can't wait to get it. I Found out about them through Dan Gregory's blog, Everyday matters. I guess artists just adore them--had no idea they even existed, and I've obviously been missing out! I'll link your blog.
P.S. Everyone struggles with painting, even the masters. ;0)
Chuck... if I scroll through your progress shots each time you add more highlight and shadow it gives the "daylight" the appearance of the sun rising... pretty cool!
"how many excuses can you come up with not to paint?" ?? man, you don't need any, You are hereby excused!!
honest, it seems to me You are more of a three dimensions-guy, constructing models, or movie sets, would be natural for You. This picture will sure end up striking, but at what cost? it doesn't have to be a struggle!

Yay! I like the warmth seeping back in . This is a stunning composition. Where'd you take the photo?
This is a farm not too far from where I live.
Wow.
That's all.
What Jazz said. Wow.

Thanks Page. I like your water colors.
Cool farm/rural scenes. Remind me of the area I'm in...northern Illinois.
I'm bookmarking you!
