The rest of the sketch...
OK, here's the whole sketch. I didn't think the composition was very good, but after reading the comments so far, I felt like I was holding back the truth by not letting you see my whole sketch book. so, here it is...

Chuck!!! Seriously cool. and Yes, the full composition is much tastier.
Now that is "ART"....Nature at it's finest.Beauty...tools for adapting...cruel at times...survival...evolving...simplistic...intense...yet complicated too. Chuck your drawing brings it all out...and more. Great Job!
Yeah, the spiders that live in our neighborhood are creepy little buggers. Definately the larger composition is more engaging. It also uses thought provoking storytelling narrative in a way. Before and after in a way. Love to see your moleskin in action! I just got my official college one today. (: It's been amazing!
Hi Chuck~ Terry here. Just hanging out and checking out your blog and your artwork. Nice stuff! I especially like this spider drawing. I have black widows around my house too. I'd never thought of drawing one. but next time i see one, i'll give it a go.
That's the thing that's not so great about "blogger" you can't really post images very large, so I really like that you've shown this two ways, as I love seeing the whole composition (which is great!) and then the close up view to better see the details. (even though it's creepy but beautifully drawn spider details!)

I used a Pilot G-2 gell pen. I'm gellin' man....
Hey, I LIKE this!! Nothing wrong whatsoever with the composition!
Anyway, it's nice having another view of the spider.

these are very cool and kind of make my skin crawl even though i don't mind spiders...
When I was drawing it the bookmark ribbon in my moleskine kept dangling down and brushing my leg. Made my skin crawl too.

I think you should do this for all your work!
Love this drawing! Very neat the way you gave part of the coposition a boarder.
