Another beach house. Well... cloud really.

Beach House No. 2 - 4"x6" Watercolor

I found these really cool watercolor pads the other day. They are only 4" x 6", but they have 15 sheets bound with adhesive on all 4 sides. It's like painting on paper that has been stretched on a block. By the time I finished the sketch the water in the paper made it pop off the block. I thought it was really handy and just wanted to share, here are some pics...

Well, i'm glad you shared it. I've seen that, but never tried it.

I'm heading to the beach on Thursday, so i'm hoping to see some clouds like that.

Actually, i'm hoping to see some fish too!!!

I love using Arches watercolor blocks, too! Great quality paper in a handy format. Those clouds are to die for.

Thanks. I screwed up the house though. Oh well, next time.

These make fabulous original postcards but I always send them in an envelope in case some light-fingered person plans to make a fortune when I become famous (in my dreams :-))

Seriously, these pads are wonderful. I have been using a slightly parger size for a while. Great for travel and spontaneous creativity - no need to have a page already stretched.

BTW, wonderful clouds!

I have a couple of 4 x 6 blocks I used to make Artist Trading Cards on when I was first learning to paint in watercolors. I should pick them back up...the moleskine's fun, but real watercolor paper...Hmmm. You're an inspiration Chuck! Thank you for sharing your art with us!

Chuck, you're right -- the small bound watercolor blocks are fun to work on. Impressive sky, although I don't know why you say you screwed up the house...?

Thanks Linda. I think I screwed up the house because I stopped concentrating. The drawing is inaccurate and fuzzy, but like I said, twas only a sketch.
