Speaking of books...
Here's my first Blog Art book. I love the dea of doing a joint project with those special bloggers out there, and you know who you are. And if you want to publish one at a time, this is the way to go. :D
These pics don't represent all the pages, but the highlights...
Carolyn: I had this made using Apple's service through iPhoto - their digital photo storage software. You can put together books of your images, send them in online and get a hard bound book back. It's pretty cool.
Jenny: Mine, all mine. And I wish I could water color as well as Amanda.
Bill: What a mean thing to sat about a sweet little kid. :-) (He's talking about the kid in the second image)
Hey Evy, I believe you can order them internationally because I saw in the order screens that pircing is based in US dollars, which would indicate to me that you can order from over seas.
I was at your blog once before through IF glad i bookmarked your blog because i have not seen you post again, but found my way back today. So glad i did because your iphoto book about your blog is wonderful. and a great idea.
Chuck - it's wonderful. NOW, we need to have this funded and mass distrbuted by a proper publisher or find out how to do it ourselves on the cheap - I know! Amanda can make and bind the 50,000 books, that shouldn't take too long, and Harry said he would cut the trees and pound the pulp....but seriously, we need to find a publisher for a series of books, no? Advances, royalties, I work for the lawyers so we're set for free there.....
wow Chuck, this looks fantastic! Love the way you've designed the pages. Haven't done so yet but you've really made me want to take the time to learn iBook. Are you happy with the quality of the book?
Hey Cin, I love it. The quality is great. Nicely bound with beatiful end pages. And I set it up in iPhoto in about one afternnon. Your stuff would look great this way.
Chuck, I went to iphoto but didn't see anything about making books. Is there a site you could recommend to learn more? This is a great idea with lots of possibilities: family albums, special vacation photos, fine-art photos, and of course, art. Thanks for sharing this information.
btw: I went to writer's workshop recently and learned about "publishers on demand" or POD houses. Some are good and some aren't quite, but the idea is that the book is published after orders are taken, thus reducing the original "outlay" tremendously...fyi.

This looks awesome! I suppose this apple iPhoto service (online order + binding) is only available in the US?

great idea. love that Apple. gotta steal it. How much do they charge?...may I ask
Hey Amanda,
They charge based on how many pages you have. This is a 24 page book and it cost 40 big ones.
