I'm baaaack!

Is it already Wednesday? Man, I haven't posted since Sunday. We had family in and out for Father's day and it's been very busy at work. More excuses for not painting....

Today I was in an all day 'team-building' meeting at the office. If any of you work in 'corporate' America you may have done one of these. They do personality tests on everyone and then mix up people into different teams. I shouldn't have doodled, but I couldn't help myself. I got this one in. His name is Lou and he really suprised me. I thought this man, who works in I.T., was a real to-do-list kind of guy. But he turned out to be a very conceptual thinker and I have to say I got to know a side of him that I wasn't familiar with. Just goes to show you how at work it's easy to assume things about people based on their jobs. And that ain't such a good thing.

He looks mischievous---a good quality! Really nice sketch, Chuck.

Hi Chuck!

Man, I've always been a sucker for just straight pen and ink. I really love this. I also love how his button looks like a "G".

You do faces soooooo well. I would love to study more of your stuff.

I can always count on you two, huh?

Pen work was all I could sneak in. There were 30 people in the room and I was trying to be as inconspicuous as possible. faces are so cool to draw. Once you get the uderlying structure, you candraw antone! It is somuch fun.

I can't resist it either. And it is hard to remain unnoticed. But I found that if I make a lot of extraneous little jiggles with my pen hovering over the paper, it looks like I'm writing, not drawing. Also, an invisibility cloak helps.

You musta had a good facilitator... if even the jaded team members found out new things about each other... And that DOES make life more interesting... Nice sketch. I bet it even looks like the guy... Mine always look like the "subjects" deficient cousin..... :-(

Spoken like a true therapist or facilitator! Actually, the facilitators for this meeting were very good. I got a lot out of it.
