Sargent study two - water color

Here's the water color version of the previous drawing. It's hard to replicate in water color what the master did in oil. But it's fun and quick. And with each one I'm learning more.

Love, LOVE those swoopy dark shapes in the background! So when are we going to see Chuck Singer Sargent's own imagery, huh?

Oops, didn't mean to be pushy but sometimes my impatient soul gets the better of me ;D. You're doing great---take your time, buddy.

Not at all. I know that's what I need to do. You've had me thinking about it all evening. What I have done with these past two sketches is purely academic. And as long as I know that, that's OK.

But we aren't making art unless it comes from inside. Our own ideas and reaction to our world.

It's coming.

So nice. I would hang it on a wall in my place. Living room, I think!
