Sargent study two - water color
Here's the water color version of the previous drawing. It's hard to replicate in water color what the master did in oil. But it's fun and quick. And with each one I'm learning more.

Not at all. I know that's what I need to do. You've had me thinking about it all evening. What I have done with these past two sketches is purely academic. And as long as I know that, that's OK.
But we aren't making art unless it comes from inside. Our own ideas and reaction to our world.

I had to go look this one up to compare -- wow! Wonderful, wonderful!
So nice. I would hang it on a wall in my place. Living room, I think!
more sargent stuff please....full on large canvas???? We can only hope.
